Position Announcement:  Interim Director of Religious Education (DRE)

The Interfaith Families Project of Greater Washington (IFFP, www.iffp.net), an independent community of interfaith families committed to sharing our Jewish and Christian traditions, seeks a person committed to learning and theological diversity to be our part time Interim Director of Religious Education. Working under the direction of the IFFP Board, the DRE will work with other IFFP staff on the planning and implementation of our 12 classroom Sunday School covering age 3 to 7^th grade.  The DRE will also be involved in outreach to members about the religious education program.

Qualifications: A background in education with extensive experience working with children and teachers, comfort with theological diversity, and outstanding planning and time management skills. Understanding of, and interest in, Jewish and Christian faiths is a must; formal religious training and ordained status in a Jewish or Christian religious institution a plus. Hours: 20 hours per week for 10 months of the year and 10 hours per week for 2 summer months.
