River Road Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Bethesda, Maryland is searching for a Director of Children’s Ministries.  We are looking for someone with experience in the Unitarian Universalist tradition, a commitment to the spiritual growth of young people and parents and with energy to listen and lead.

The Director of Children's Ministries will work with our full time Minister of Religious Education, and along side our three-quarter-time Director of Youth Ministries to meet the needs of our families with children, joining a department dedicated to providing innovative, engaging and top quality religious education.

Come join a thriving, large UU congregation with 250 children and youth, 100 teachers and advisors, 800 members and friends, the above mentioned religious education staff,  a, Senior Minister, Music Director who leads three children or youth choirs, and a very competent administrative staff.  River Road has two services, a year-round program and energy and life that will lift your spirits and a social justice program with a national reputation.

The position is a ¾ time position with benefits including health insurance, pension, disability insurance and professional expenses.  The position begins mid August 2008.
