The Chesapeake UU
Growth Committee (ChUUG) is a committee of the Joseph Priestley District (JPD)
of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA). Chairs and contacts are listed on the Committee page.
Vision: Unitarian Universalism is recognized as an influential faith movement whose unique values and practices inspire people to join our congregations.
Mission: To organize and support congregations in creating an inspirational movement that proclaims a compelling UU message.
We are sponsoring a Google Adword campaign to encourage growth in the Baltimore-Washington-No. Virginia region, which started in the summer of 2009. The ads point to the regional web site: md-dc-va-churches.org, which has information about each of the congregations in the regional cluster. Input on this campaign, through landing page writing, topic ideas, and when we run out of funds, funding sources.
We encourage each congregation to have a liaison who keeps their congregation informed. They receive monthly reports through the JPD office. If you'd like more information about who is the liaison for your congregation, contact the JPD office or the committee chairs - contact information on Committee page.
Additionally, we would like contact with all congregations' web site/internet/outreach volunteers. We will be having conferences/meetings/workshops to help provide information about Outreach to encourage visitors to your congregation from the internet. Web editors, managers, and contributors for congregations in this area may join this YahooGroup. And we have a Facebook Page to which we can post area events and share them with our friends.
